Pi Executive Recruits Board Member for Hopsy

Talent Advisory Firm Pi Executive has recruited Edward Boyes as a new Board Member at Hopsy, a fast-growing online marketplace delivering draft beer directly to your doorstep. The search was conducted by Partner and Board Member Pierre Trippitelli.

Edward brings a breadth of experience in setting up and boosting subscription base and online businesses. Thanks to his reputation and track record not only in the US but also in Europe, Edward will be a key advisor to Hopsy’s leadership team in scaling a business with enormous potential.

The appointment comes as new investors have joined Hopsy, enabling the firm to proceed with the necessary operational adjustments and accelerate its growth in the US and anticipate future foray into new markets. By bringing such a disruptive leader from the Food & Beverage industry, the company looks to understand and leverage the business model of such a successful company that is HelloFresh.

Named Forbes Europe’s “30 Under 30” in 2017, Boyes co-founded HelloFresh UK in 2012 before joining HelloFresh US as CEO in 2016. Prior to joining HelloFresh, he worked in management consultancy at Booz & Company. The sheer challenge of bringing the concept of delivering step-by-step recipes and ingredients to users initially attracted him to the HelloFresh business, with the goal of making a difference to customers’ lives by creating an experience that enables them to live better and healthier while embracing the fun of home cooking.

Edward holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics and Management from the University of Oxford.
